The Challenge
The new management team for The South Beach Diet, a doctor-designed weight-loss program that first became popular in the early 2000's, was getting ready to re-launch the brand with a more comprehensive subscription-based e-commerce program. They needed a new visual brand identity system to help launch the program.
We started with a modernized, refreshed logo
Our Approach
After a comprehensive deep dive with the brand team, we set out to create visual identity styles that give a nod to the aspirational beach lifestyle origins of the brand. Once the visual identity styles were set, we designed a series of web pages to support the e-commerce website launch and roll-out of the larger brand. We also designed and built The Palm, a content publication to support engagement and education around various weight loss and wellness topics. We also created short animated videos to support their social marketing efforts.

Logo Design
In 2017, South Beach Diet launched The Palm, a content publication platform designed to educate and engage visitors around weight loss and healthy lifestyle topics. It was our job to create a logo for the content site that would maintain cohesion with the South Beach Diet brand, while also helping to establish The Palm as a different, but related, website and source of information.
In 2020, we assisted the internal design team at South Beach Diet by refreshing the logo for The Palm based on their new brand styles.
Website Design
In 2017, we designed and built The Palm for South Beach Diet with the goal of hooking readers to keep them coming back for the latest news and stories on weight loss and healthy lifestyle topics. We focused on creating a flexible content platform for the South Beach Diet team to leverage; in doing so, we designed and developed website elements to promote user-engagement, such as quizzes and a robust recipe library.
In 2020, we redesigned The Palm to match the updated South Beach Diet website & branding.
